Colt 1873 SAA Artillery Model Replica by EMF
The SAA or Single Action Army is the most iconic handgun in the World. Known as the “hog leg” and the “gun that won the west” it has armed cowboys, gunfighters, and lawmen, both in real life and the movies. With the SAA it is said “God made all men, but Sam Colt made them equal.” Except for a short break during WWII it has remained in production since 1873 with over 1,000,000 made. The SAA is well balance, reliable, and with 6 shots of its most popular chambering, .45 Long Colt, has significant firepower.
This gun was made in two versions for the U.S. Miltary, the Calvary Model with a 7.5" barrel and the Artillery Model with a 5.5" barrel. The other standard barrel lenghts were 4.75" and 3.5". The SAA was available in over 30 calibers with the most common being .45 Long Colt, 44-40, 38-40, and 32-30.
